Education documents we process
Any certificate or result issued by a recognised Indian board, university or examining body can go through attestation or apostille. Each one is a separate document, so each one gets its own stamp and is priced on its own.

Two ways to reach the MEA
The MEA does not check your marks with the board or university itself. It relies on an earlier verification, and education documents have two options for that.
Route A
Notary + SDM → MEA
Works for most apostille countries when no state verification is asked for. ₹1,500 per document for the whole route.
Route B
State HRD → MEA
The state higher education department confirms the document with the issuing body. Priced on quote, because the papers each state asks for differ.
State HRD is handled by the state where the board or university sits. A Rajasthan University degree goes to Rajasthan, even if you now live in Delhi. See HRD attestation in Rajasthan and HRD attestation in Kolkata for two examples.
Countries where State HRD is needed
- Italy, Spain and Portugal. State HRD is compulsory before the MEA apostille. The Notary + SDM route is not used for these three.
- Embassy attestation countries. For the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait and Oman, education documents go through State HRD, then MEA attestation, then the embassy.
- Germany. Both routes are in use. Your university or visa checklist decides. If it mentions state verification, we use State HRD.
- Any country, if the checklist asks. An employer or licensing body can ask for state verification even where the country itself does not require it.
For Saudi Arabia the final stamp must be the MEA e-apostille with a QR code. Bahrain and Vietnam take the MEA apostille, and China needs MEA attestation followed by China Embassy legalisation.
Sending a complete education set
Students applying for a master's abroad often need five to eight documents at once. Sending them together saves courier costs and keeps every paper on the same route, which matters because an office abroad may reject a file where the 12th marksheet and the degree carry different kinds of stamps.
- Make a listWrite down every document on your checklist and photograph each one.

- Check names and datesYour name should match across the documents and your passport. Fix spelling gaps at the board or university before you start.
- Courier or drop offPut all originals in one envelope with a passport copy. Delhi clients can bring them to New Ashok Nagar.
- Receive them back togetherWe return the full set by Blue Dart or another secure courier, or you collect it from the office.
Keep copies: scan every original before you send it. Many universities abroad want scans uploaded while the attested originals are still with us.
Questions about education documents
Do I need my 10th certificate if I am applying with a degree?
Often yes. Many universities and employers abroad want the full education history, starting from the 10th. Check your checklist. If it says "all academic documents", plan for the 10th, 12th, degree and marksheets.
Can one transcript replace all my semester marksheets?
Some institutions accept a consolidated transcript in place of separate marksheets. Others want both. The transcript must be issued by the university registrar in a sealed or signed form. Ask the institution abroad before you decide what to legalise.
My degree and my 12th marksheet are from different states. Does that change anything?
For Notary + SDM, no. For State HRD, each document goes to the education department of the state that issued it. We handle both states, and the quote covers the full set.
Is a distance learning or open university degree accepted?
It can be attested if the university is recognised. Whether the country or employer abroad accepts a distance degree is their decision, so confirm that with them first.
Do my documents need translation?
For countries that do not work in English, such as Italy, Spain or many Gulf offices, a translation is often required. We translate into any language, priced on quote, and tell you whether the translation needs its own stamp.
