The documents you need depend on the permit or approval you are applying for in Qatar. Before you collect anything, find out which of these applies to you. The table shows what is commonly asked for in each case.

The route for each type of document
Every Qatar route ends with MEA attestation and the Qatar Embassy stamp. The first office in the chain depends on who issued the document.
Education

Your university's state verifies the certificate through its higher education department before it goes to the MEA.

The final attestation inside Qatar
After the Qatar Embassy in India has stamped your document, Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs adds its own attestation. That step happens in Qatar and cannot be done from India, so it is outside our service.
Who takes care of it depends on your situation. Larger employers often have government relations staff who submit documents for new hires. If your family is joining you, the sponsor usually handles it. Ask about this when you accept the offer, so you know whether to carry the originals yourself or courier them ahead.
Keep a record: before the originals leave your hands in Qatar, keep clear colour copies of every stamped page. If a page goes missing during processing there, the copies make it much easier to explain what was already done in India.
Police clearance certificate for Qatar
Some Qatari employers and visa checklists ask for an Indian police clearance certificate with attestation. We do not issue PCCs and we do not apply for them. You get the PCC yourself from Passport Seva, at a PSK or POPSK, or from the police, depending on what your checklist names.
Once the PCC is in your hands, we take it through MEA attestation and the Qatar Embassy, the same way as your other documents. Check that the name and passport number on it match your passport before you send it. Our PCC apostille and attestation page explains the steps in detail.

Questions about Qatar attestation
Should I wait for my visa before starting attestation?
No need. Many people start as soon as they accept the offer, because the employer usually needs the attested degree to process the work residence permit. Ask your employer what they need and when.
Do my marksheets need attestation along with my degree?
Only if your employer or licensing body asks for them. Professional licensing often needs marksheets or transcripts as well. Each document is attested and charged separately.
Can my wife's and children's certificates go in the same batch as my degree?
Yes. Each document follows its own route, but you can courier them together and we track them as one order.
I got my PCC from the local police, not Passport Seva. Can it still be attested?
Usually yes, though it may need a verification step before the MEA. Send us a photo and we will confirm the route.
Who completes the step at Qatar's foreign ministry?
You, your employer or your sponsor, in Qatar. Our work ends with the Qatar Embassy stamp in India and the return of your originals.
