Work in the Gulf: the usual Rajasthan file
Families across Rajasthan, and especially in the Shekhawati districts of Sikar, Jhunjhunu and Churu, have a long tradition of working in the Gulf. Drivers, electricians, supervisors, engineers and accountants all need their certificates checked before the visa is stamped.
The country on the visa decides the route. The UAE, Qatar, Kuwait and Oman need MEA attestation followed by the embassy. Saudi Arabia accepts only the MEA e-apostille with a QR code. Bahrain mostly needs an apostille and a translation into Arabic.
UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman
Rajasthan HRD → MEA → Embassy
Education certificates need state verification first. Priced on quote. See Qatar and Oman.
Saudi Arabia
MEA e-apostille with QR code
The older Saudi Embassy attestation chain was used in the past. Today only the QR-code apostille is accepted. See Saudi Arabia.
Gulf employers often ask for an experience letter alongside the qualification. Read experience certificate attestation if yours does.
How Rajasthan's state verification fits in
When the State HRD route applies, your degree or diploma is verified by Rajasthan's Higher Education Department before it reaches the MEA. School certificates and technical diplomas may be checked by a different state office. We tell you exactly what the state needs, such as marksheets or an authority letter, before you courier the originals.
The full process, and the documents the state usually asks for, is on our HRD attestation in Rajasthan page.
Notary + SDM is often enough: many apostille countries accept it for education documents. Only some checklists, and Italy, Spain and Portugal, insist on state verification. Ask us before choosing the longer route.
Rajasthan documents and their issuers
| Document | Issued by | Before the MEA |
|---|---|---|
| BA, BSc, BCom, MA degrees | University of Rajasthan, Jaipur | Notary + SDM, or Rajasthan's Higher Education Department |
| BTech degree | Rajasthan Technical University, Kota | Notary + SDM, or Rajasthan's Higher Education Department |
| MBBS, nursing, pharmacy degree | Rajasthan University of Health Sciences | As per the destination's checklist |
| Class 10 and 12 certificates | Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (Ajmer) | Notary + SDM, or state verification |
| Birth or death certificate | Jaipur Municipal Corporation, or the local registrar | Notary + SDM, or the Rajasthan Home Department |
| Marriage certificate | Marriage registrar in Rajasthan | Notary + SDM, or the Rajasthan Home Department |
Students from Jaipur and Kota also commonly head to the UK, Canada and Australia, all of which take the MEA apostille. Jaipur's gem, jewellery and handicraft exporters send invoices and certificates of origin through the Chamber of Commerce, MEA and embassy chain. See commercial certificate attestation.
PCC apostille for Rajasthan
Gulf and European work visas frequently ask for a police clearance certificate. You need to get it yourself from a Passport Seva Kendra or Post Office PSK, or from the police. We do not apply for PCCs. Once you have the certificate in hand, we arrange the MEA apostille, or attestation and embassy work for the UAE and similar countries. See the PCC apostille page.
Questions from Jaipur clients
Can the finished documents go to my family home in another Rajasthan town?
Yes. Give us any address in Rajasthan or elsewhere in India before dispatch. We send the documents there by Blue Dart or another secure courier and share the tracking number.
My employer in Dubai wants the Class 12 certificate attested as well as the degree. Is that normal?
Some UAE employers do ask for it. Each certificate is processed and charged separately. Send us the employer's list and we follow it.
My RTU degree has a spelling different from my passport. What should I do?
Send photos of both. Small differences can cause questions at verification or abroad. We tell you whether a correction or an affidavit is likely to be needed before you courier.
I live in Sikar. Do you collect documents from there?
No. We do not collect from any home or office. Courier the originals to our Delhi office, and we return them by Blue Dart or another secure courier.
Does Saudi Arabia still need the Saudi Embassy stamp?
No. Saudi Arabia now accepts the MEA e-apostille with a QR code. The old non-QR apostille is not accepted, so we make sure you get the QR version.
