Who in Oman asks for an Indian PCC
For Oman, a PCC request usually comes from the sponsor rather than from a published rule. Whether you are asked for one can depend on the role, the employer and the visa. Some sponsors ask every new hire. Others ask only for particular jobs, or not at all.
Because of this, we do not work from a general list for Oman. We work from your sponsor's checklist. If your offer pack mentions a police certificate, send it to us with a photo of your PCC and we confirm the route against what the sponsor has written.
Apostille or attestation for Oman?
Searching online, you may find pages offering a "PCC apostille for Oman" and others offering Oman Embassy attestation. The two are different stamps. In our processing practice, Indian PCCs for Oman go through embassy attestation: MEA attestation followed by the Oman Embassy in New Delhi.

How recent should the PCC be? Check your checklist. Many offices want a recent PCC, and an older certificate does not become valid again because it has been attested.

Some sponsors ask for one for family members and some do not. If hers is needed, it follows the same route as yours and is priced separately.
Can you get me a police certificate from Oman?
No. An Omani police certificate is issued in Oman. We work only on Indian PCCs, and we do not apply for those either.
My PCC came from the police in Tamil Nadu but I live in Delhi. Is that fine?
