The Thailand route we follow
People often expect a single apostille to be enough for Thailand. From our processing practice, Thai universities, schools, employers and offices look for the Thai Embassy's legalisation on Indian papers, so that is the route we use for every Thailand file.
- Education documents: State HRD, or Notary + SDM where the receiving institution accepts it.
- Personal documents: Notary + SDM, or the State Home Department.
- Company documents: the Chamber of Commerce.

Students joining Thai universities
Thai universities run many programmes taught in English, in business, hospitality, engineering and other fields, and they admit Indian students at bachelor's, master's and doctoral level. Admission offices commonly ask for the Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets for undergraduate entry, and the degree with transcripts for postgraduate entry, all legalised.

School marksheets from CBSE, ICSE or a state board, and degrees from any Indian university, can all be done from our Delhi office.
Teachers and other professionals
Schools in Thailand hire foreign teachers for English, mathematics, science and other subjects. Before a teacher can start, the school usually needs a legalised degree and transcript for the work permit and the teaching licence paperwork. Some schools also ask for a police clearance certificate.
We do not issue or apply for PCCs. You get yours from Passport Seva or the police, and we legalise the PCC you hold, in the same batch as your degree if that suits you. See our PCC apostille and attestation page for details.
Engineers, hotel managers, chefs and other professionals moving to Thai employers go through the same process with their degree and, where asked, their experience letters.
Business documents and family papers
Indian companies opening a Thai subsidiary, appointing a distributor or bidding for contracts are asked for legalised company papers: certificate of incorporation, MOA and AOA, board resolutions and powers of attorney. Exporters may need a legalised certificate of origin or invoice. All of these start at the Chamber of Commerce.
Families moving with a working parent often need birth certificates for children's school admission or dependant visas, and a marriage certificate for the spouse's visa. These follow the personal-document route above.
Thai translation: Thai offices work in Thai. Some accept English documents and others ask for a Thai translation, sometimes legalised as well. Tell us who will receive the papers and we advise you, then translate if needed.

Questions about Thailand legalisation
A website told me an apostille works for Thailand. Should I do that instead?
From our processing practice, Thai institutions look for the embassy's legalisation on Indian papers. If your university or school has written that an apostille is fine, send us that message and we will follow it.
I have a teaching job offer. Which documents should I legalise?
Usually the degree and the transcript, and a PCC if the school asks. Ask the school for its list before you courier anything, so you do not need a second round.
Does the Thai translation need to be legalised too?
Sometimes. It depends on the office receiving it. We check this with you and include the translation in the chain only when it is needed.
We are opening a company in Bangkok. Can board resolutions signed in India be used?
Yes, once they are on letterhead, signed by an authorised signatory, and taken through the Chamber of Commerce, the MEA and the Thai Embassy. Share the draft with us first.
Can my child's birth certificate and my degree go together?
Yes. Each takes its own first step and is priced separately, but they can move through the MEA and the embassy as one file.
