We do not make PCCs. A Passport Seva Kendra, POPSK or Regional Passport Office issues it, or your local police. Our work starts once the certificate is in your hands.
Which Korean visas ask for an Indian PCC
Three groups of Indian applicants send us PCCs for Korea most often. The paperwork comes from different people in each case, so the checklist you hold may look different from a friend's.
| Visa | Who usually sends you the list | What the PCC needs |
|---|---|---|
| E-7 skilled work | The Korean employer or its visa agent | MEA apostille; translation if the employer asks |
| F-6 marriage | Your Korean spouse, or the Korean mission | Apostille plus translation, as guides for this visa describe |
| E-2 teaching | The school or recruiter | A criminal record check, certified as the school's list says |
For the F-6, the background check is asked of the foreign spouse, which means the Indian partner. A Korean sponsor is asked for one only in limited cases, and that comes from Korea, not from us.
Passport office PCC or police PCC?
Guides for the E-7 route point Indian applicants to a PCC from the passport office. That is also the simpler route for us, because it goes straight to the MEA.
Issued through Passport Seva
Passport office PCC
One stamp from the MEA. ₹1,000 per PCC.
Issued by a police station, SP or Commissioner
Police PCC
Notary + SDM where accepted, ₹1,500 in total. Otherwise the Home Department of the state that issued it, on quote.
If you have both kinds, send the passport office one unless your Korean checklist names the other.
Do you need a Korean translation?
Your PCC is printed in English. Some Korean offices and employers take English documents as they are. Others, and the F-6 guides in particular, ask for a translation alongside the apostille. Ask the person handling your file in Korea one direct question: "Is English acceptable, or do you need Korean?"
If Korean is needed, we prepare it after the apostille is on, so the translation covers the apostille wording as well as the certificate. If your sponsor wants the translation certified by a particular person or office in Korea, tell us before we start and we will tell you what we can arrange from here.

Questions about PCC apostille for Korea
My Korean employer wants the PCC scanned first. Is that fine?
Yes. Many employers check a scan of the apostilled PCC before the visa stage. We can share a scan with you once the apostille is on, and the original then goes to you by courier or office collection.
Do I need to visit the Korean Embassy to legalise the PCC?
No. Korea accepts the apostille in place of embassy legalisation, so the MEA apostille is the only Indian stamp it needs.
I am already in Korea. Can my family in India send you the PCC?
Yes. Anyone can courier the original PCC to us with a copy of your passport. We return it to the address they give us in India, and they forward it to you.
For an F-6, does my marriage certificate also need an apostille?
Usually yes. An Indian marriage certificate goes through its own route before the MEA. See our marriage certificate page, or ask us to quote both together.
Can the Korean translation be done before the apostille?
It can, but then the apostille wording is left untranslated. Translating after the apostille keeps both in one translated document.
What price should I expect for an E-7 file?
For a passport office PCC with only the MEA apostille, ₹1,000. Korean translation, if asked, is quoted separately once we see the document.
