B.A. Degree Certificate Apostille & Attestation Services in India

An apostille is an official government-issued certificate that verifies the authenticity of your B.A. degree for use in Hague Convention countries. Once your certificate is apostilled by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India, it does not require further legalization from the embassy of the destination country.

You can follow one of two commonly used apostille methods:

1. Apostille via State HRD or University Verification

• Step 1: State Education Department / HRD Attestation
  Your B.A. certificate is first authenticated by the Human Resource Department (HRD) or State Higher Education Department from the state where your degree was issued. Alternatively, some universities provide direct verification.
  
  
• Step 2: Apostille by MEA
  After verification, the certificate is submitted to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) for apostille.
  
  

This route is considered highly authentic and is often preferred for academic or legal use. However, it may take longer due to university or departmental verification.

2. Apostille via Notary + SDM (Fast-Track Method)

This quicker method is also accepted in most Hague Convention countries and involves:

• Step 1: Notary Public Attestation
  A Notary Public certifies your B.A. certificate.
  
  
• Step 2: Attestation by SDM (Sub-Divisional Magistrate), New Delhi
  The document is then authenticated by the SDM.
  
  
• Step 3: Apostille by MEA
  Finally, the Ministry of External Affairs issues the apostille.
